On May 11, 1972 the United States Court of Appeals,
Seventh Circuit, Chicago, in connection with the subject's
conviction for Anti-Riot Law (ARL) violations at Chicago,
Tilinois, in August, 1968, remanded ail contempt citations against
non-lawyer appelants to the Executive Committee of the United
i States District Court (USDC), Chicago, for re-assignment to an
unbiased Judge for his subsequent review and a jury trial.

As of October 30, 1972, no Judge has been assigned
x: to conduct the rehearing of subject's contempt citations,
‘ despite the fact that the chief obstacle to the proceedings,
that is the Government's decision as to whether to drop contempt
proceedings against Defendant BOBBY SEALE, has been resolved.

No opinion from the Court of Appeals has been forth-
coming regarding the substantive ARL convictions, despite the
fact that oral agreements in that matter were heard by the
