The subject was not present at the Congress. a odd CX TORCH ER TPO ONT that during the National Congress olumbus, e sub ject and JERRY RUBIN, who are regarded as the original founders of YIP, were critieized for stealing YIP funds, for having allied themselves with the Democratic Party, and for working through the system of the “establishment.” As a result, it was decided a press conference would be held to announce the expulsion of RUBIN/and HOFFMAN from YIP. \ A\ ta mn ii be Yo ude tev. eee / JERRY/RUBIN, along with the subject, on © 00 Febrdary 18, 1970, were found guilty of Anti-Riot Law violations that arose from activities during the National Democratic Convention in Chicago, Illinois, in August, 1968. On November 27, 1972, the United States Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit, Chicago, reversed the conviction. To date, no decision has been reached regarding contempt citations against RUBIN and subject. The November 28, 1972 issue of the "New York Times,” a daily newspaper in NYC, on Page 30, contained an article stati: the YIP Conclave in Columbus, Ohio, had voted to exclude RUBIN and the subject as official spokesmen for the Yippie movement. Both RUBIN and the subject were accused by YIP of using the party for personal ga‘n. In an article appearing on Page 23 of the "New York Post," a daily newspaper in NYC, issue dated November 27, 1972, the subject denied being a current leader of YIP. Regarding the YIP Conclave in Columbus, Ohio, the subject was quoted as saying, "As far as I'm concerned, it's all pretty boring." ." nner ee Par THA
