Qualifying herself, La Fontant noted, however, that she is not certain if the present system of evaluating individuals for judicial positions is the best method and it is quite possible that someone possessing a good deal of common sense and intelligence would be able to serve the office well. , Concerning Mikva's moral character, again La Fontant could only say that she has heard nothing derogatory and believed the applicant a good family man from what she has heard.
