Purpose: The purpose of this policy is to establish roles and responsibilities regarding requests to acquire additional commercial parking for Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) official vehicles, equipment, and official visitors which are in addition to parking customarily acquired by the Field Office Support Section (FOSS), Facilities and Logistics Services Division (FLSD). This policy establishes that FOSS, FLSD is responsible for these additional requests for commercial parking and identifies a funding source for the same. 8. Policy Statement: 8.1. Commercial parking is customarily acquired through the FLSD facilities leasing process for the FBI. 8.2. When additional parking is required that is not already included in one of FOSS, FLSD leases for FBI facilities, the request must be approved by FOSS, FLSD prior to obligation and expenditure of funds. FOSS, FLSD is responsible for the approval and administration of all commercial parking spaces throughout the FBI. 8.3. FOSS, FLSD must use the sub-object code (SOC) 23202 (Parking) account or program and sub- program KPKI (Rent or Parking) to support approved requests for additional commercial parking for FBI vehicles and official equipment. This account will not be used to fund parking spaces to support non-FBI task force vehicles or equipment, privately owned vehicles (POVs), or daily parking for any vehicles. Reimbursement for daily parking for official FBI vehicles is the responsibility of the division requiring the parking. Each FBI official vehicle, whether owned or leased, is authorized a parking space at no more than one location. 8.4. Any commercial parking acquisition that receives the necessary FOSS, FLSD approval must be acquired in accordance with applicable procurement laws and regulations. 8.5. Appropriated funds can be used to pay the difference between the parking costs a severely disabled employee must pay and those generally paid by nondisabled Federal employees working at 6/27/2oX 0
