Pursuant to the Attorney General's Memorandum of November 7, 1983, "Procedures for Lawful, Warrantless Interceptions of Verbal Communications," and/or Attorney General Order Number 985-82, dated August 6, 1982, captioned "Delegation of Authority to Authorize Television Surveillance," the authority of your office is required for use of these electronic devices. The use of CCTV will not involve any trespass and it will be utilized only when a consenting party is present. Use of these electronic devices in this case is recommended as being in the best interest of effective law enforcement in that they are expected to provide corroborative evidence and/or to protect the individual(s) utilizing the equipment. It is requested, therefore, that your office approve the use of this equipment for a period of 60 days beginning on March 15, 1991.
