Richards an Alexandria, Virginia, whtle en route to Morven, North Carolina, observed an unusual object wnich appeared to resemble a Jlying saucer. Miss Richards stated at about 5 A.., on April 6, 1956, while it was still dark and while driving on Route 1 north of Henderson, North Carolinas she and Mr. Morris were 4APR1 object coming directly towards their car at a great speed, COMM-FBI COURIER on the driver's side. Miss Richards stated the object, which was less than 25 feet from the growd, appeared to be spinning was bright as though containing a series of SVC lights in a zigzagging pattern, was Iight blue in color and was at least as wide as the highway and no more tran from two to four feet in thickness. She stated the object did not change shape, it made no sound and that she observed Tolson it Jor only a few seconds before it appeared to pass over the Boardman Nichols car, accelerate speed and veer ojf out of sight behind them.
