Reporting FBI Employee Misconduct 11.1.1. (U//FOuO) Must self-report their own misconduct and/or report the misconduct of other FBI employees to their supervisors, INsD's Internal Investigations Section (Is), or the Department of Justice's Office of Inspector General (DOJ OIG). 11.1.2. (U//FOuO) Must submit a report of misconduct in writing when reporting to INSD's IIS or DOJ's. OIG. 11.1.2.1. (U//FOuQ) A report may be submitted anonymously. 11.1.2.2. (u//rouo) An e-mail communication constitutes a report in writing. 11.1.3. (U//FouO) Should consult InSD's IIS, DOJ's OIG, or OPR if employees are uncertain whether conduct constitutes reportable misconduct. 11.1.4. (U//FOuo) will receive, if applicable, whistleblower protection under federal law and FBI policy. 11.2. (U) FBI supervisors: 11.2.1. (u//FouO) Must refer these matters, in writing, to INsD's IIS upon learning of allegations of misconduct that appear to have a good-faith basis. 11.2.2. (u//EOuo) Must advise their subordinates that employees do not have to report misconduct to. their supervisors, but may instead report misconduct directly to INsD's IIS or DOJ's OIG. 11.2.3.
