While in Houston Secretary General Annan will be the featured guest at a public forum sponsored by the Baker Center, Rice University. Pursuant to this matter, appropriate local law enforcement notifications,collection/analysis of threat information,and protective liaison/support will be undertaken by DSS/JTTF Houston. DSs/P has indicated that a DsS protective detail will be provided for the Secretary General. DSS/JTTF Houston requests the following from addressee offices: DS/lCl/Pll: Query all relevant sources for any available threat information relating to this visit. DS/TA: Provide a Threat Assessment (in a format that can be shared with local law enforcement personnel) to DS/FLD/HUFO as soon as possible.
