Hon. William H. Webster. March 2, 1979 I'm reading a very interesting book about the U-Boat war off. the East Coast at the beginning of the second world war. There. is a story in this book that tells of one of the German saboteurs who was landed on our Eastern Shore had second thoughts about his. mission. He went to the local FBI office to give up.. They didn't believe him, he finally had to go to the FBI office in Washington, it took him about six hours to persuade the FBl in Washington that. they should arrest him as a German spy..
