ITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE A FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION In ReplyPlease Refer to Miami, Florida File No. 163-2357 March 23, 1981 RE: ROBIN GIBB On December 9, 1980, contacted the New York Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and advised that he and his partner,. I, are attorneys who represent in divorce proceedings against subject, Robin Gibb. Robin Gibb is a member of b6 the BeeGees singing group. I' office is in New York, b7C New York, and office is in London, England. advised that he and have received numerous threatening telegrams from Gibb which threatened their lives. All telegrams were allegedly sent from Miami, and authorities in London. was requested to furnish copies of the b6 telegrams to the FBr in New York; however to date, the two b7C enclosed telegrams are the only ones furnished. It is noted that the telegram received at New York does not contain a. extortion. On December 17, 1980, Agents of the New York Office b6 b7C attorney, I of the firm Rose, Field, and Gitomer, 88 - 7th Avenue, New York, New York. On December 18, 1980, ]was contacted and advised of instant investigation.. stated that his b6 client would not be foolish enough to carry out any threat b7C especially in view of his singing career advised that it is his opinion that and are attempting to use the FBI to embarrass Gibb and to bring pressure on him in the divorce proceedings. On February 23, 198l,. Security Director, b6 Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company, advised he b7C would be unable to furnish the subscriber to telephone number without a subpoena..
