LANSDALE, 2008 Lorraine Ayenue, Special Agents and JR., who identiried tnemseives as such. b3 General LANSDALE was advised that he was being b6 intervlewed in order to determine the nature of his b7C association with TRUONG DINH HUNG, recently arrested on b7E charges of espionage. VIETNANI General LANSDALE stated that he had known TRUONG's father, TRUONG DINH DZU, while serving as a Minister at the U.S. Embassy in Saigon. He said he had had several conversations with Dzu prior to Dzu's running for President of South Vietnam and subsequent imprisonment. LANSnALE added that apparently he was one of the few. Americans who would have anything to do with Dzu.. According to General LANSDALE, his first at his home, then near Mt. Vernon, Virginia. LANsDALE stated that, at the time, TruoNg was living in New York City, and had come to visit LANSDALE in order to try to secure LANSDALE's assistance in getting TRUONG's father out of prison in South Vietnam, which assistance LANsDALE was unable to provide. General LAnSDALE advised that since the one. 1969 meeting, he had not seen TRuoNG in person, but that he thought there might have been a telephone call, and Christnas cards were exchanged. As to how TruoNg had known about him, LANSDALE could only presume that TRUONG's contact LANSDALE.
