This statenent General Chennault, who commanded the Fourteenth Untted States Air Force in the Far East during World War II, has been a leader in the struggle against international communtsm for the past twenty years. Chennault described the comnunist threat to thd Inited States at this time as "very serious," and he said he did not feel that the American people appreciated how serious I]the situation is.
