Chamber of Commerce one of the "Seven Great Living Americans" awards. Ceremonies were held at the Sheraton-Park Hotel in Washington. One of those so honored at the time was Charles F. Kettering who died today. Others were 4-year-oldaschoor teacher: MissCalla Varmer. o7c Mr. Kettering died at 82 in Dayton today. His home address is Ridgeleigh Terrace, Dayton, Ohio. (According to the Associated Press, his wife. died in 1946 and his only son, EugeneKettering, resides at Hinsdale, Ilinois.). DEVELOPMENT: 16 - j0535- 3, Dick Cull of the "Dayton News, " who is extremely friendly to the Bureau and who attended the "Seven Great Living Americans" awards ceremonies, telephoned Wick and asked whether Mr. Hoover would have anything to say about the life and death of Mr. Kettering. It is recommended that the attached statement be made available to Dick Cull in this connection at once.
