Some members of the press covering today's announcement in San Bernardino. regarding the timeline investigation have asked for confirmation on key points of the official remarks. Below, I've provided a few bullets to recap the announcement (this does not include g&a) Details regarding the specific areas where the suspects were located at the beginning and end of the 18 minutes not accounted for in the timeline were not provided earlier today but are provided here as they may be useful for the public.. o Throughout the holidays, the Joint Terrorism Task Force has continued to investigate this case, which remains a priority.. o To date, 29 search warrants were served, more than 550 interviews have been conducted, and approximately 500 pieces of evidence have been collected.. 0 Investigators have established the suspects' location for the majority of a four hour timeframe between. approximately 11:00a.m. and 3:00p.m. as they occupied/drove a rented black SUV (Ford Expedition) with Utah license pIate number X523RY.. o Approximately three hours and 42 minutes of the four hour timeframe have been accounted for. o Approximately 18 minutes of activity, between 12:59p.m. & 1:17p.m., is unknown.. o At 12:59p.m., the suspects are believed to have been in the area where the 10 Freeway intersects with the 215 Freeway. At 1:17p.m., the suspects are believed to have been in the area of the Waterman exit at the 10 Freeway.. o The four hour block of time begins at I1:00a.m., the approximate time the suspects fled the scene of the attack at the Inland Regional Center, and 3:00p.m., the approximate time the suspects were killed following an exchange of gunfire with police.. o The timeline was constructed based on a variety of sources (traffic cameras; surveillance cameras; witness accounts; and other techniques). o Investigators believe the suspects remained within the cities of San Bernardino and Redlands. o Significant points on the timeline, which includes points prior to the attack, and which may be useful to the public, are listed here: SUV departed residence at 8:37a.m. SUV arrived IRC 8:47a.m. SUV departed IRC 10:37a.m. SUV returned to IRC at approximately 10:56a.m..
