Alamance County Sheriff's Office, Graham, North Carolina, advised.that during the late l96o's and early l970's, he. was very.familiar with the Graham Klavern of the United Klans of America. Sheriff STockARD advised that the Graham of Graham; North Carolina in Alamance County which contained a small building in which the Unit used for their meetings. In' addition, the Sheriff advised that there was a small fishing pond on.this property. Sheriff srockarD advised that. he had excellent informant coverage in this Unit during the years 'it was. in operation and at no time did he ever possess any knowledge of a murder taking place at the Klavern Hall or in any way connected with the Graham Klavern. In addition,.Sheriff STockARD advised that the Graham Unit. ceased to exist .in approximately 1972-1973 and certainly was not in existance in 1975. Intelligence Division, Greensboro Police Department, Greensboro, North Carolina, advised that his department was familiar with Klan activities in the Greensboro, North Carolina area during the 1960's'and early 1970's and at no time did any of the department's'nformants. provide information that any b6 Klan killing or execution took place. b7C advised that even. though there were several .individuals in the Greensboro, .North Carolina area, the Klan never did have very strong Units in Greensboro, North Carolina that were ever very. active. advised that the. certainly no Klan.
