Specimens received
December .4, 1978
Q40-Q41
Two metal fragments
Result of examination:
Specimen Q40 is a metal fragment which bears.
no observable bullet characteristics or microscopic
marks of value for comparison with a suspect weapon.
Specimen Q4l is a bullet jacket fragment which.
is too minute to determine caliber or manufacturer. The
partial rifling impressions remaining in Q4l would tend
to indicate that Q4l was fired from the barrel of a.
weapon with right twist rifling. The microscopic marks
remaining in Q4l are not sufficient for identification

Specimens Q40 and Q4l are being returned to
the San Juan Division under separate cover by registered.
mail.
