contained an article captioned "Rabbi Fears Florida Vote"
In this article, Rabbi Meir D. Kahane reportedly stated.
that Alabama Governor Wallace's victory in Florida was
a sign that anti-Semitism was rising in the United States
and that Jews should take steps to protect themselves
for the predicted wave of anti-Semitism. The following.

The Arizona "Daily Wildcat". publication of the.
Associated Students, University of Arizona (uA), Tucson,
Arizona, reported in the March 17, 1972, issue that
Rabbi Meir Kahane had spoken in the Liberal Arts Auditorium
at the UA on the evening of March 16, 1972. Kahane was
sponsored by the Departments of Government, Sociology
and the Hillel House. Approximately 400 persons were
present. Kahane, who was described as the founder and
leader of the Jewish Defense League (JDL) warned of the
rise of anti-Semitism in the United States and the rise
of the American Nazi Party.
The article referred to.
Kahane as 'a "resident of the State of Israel" and indicated
that he held dual citizanship in both the United States
and Israel. Kahane urged members of the Jewish faith to.
move to Israel and "come shape your own life" and "give
some serious thought to going home". Kahane was recruiting
young people to move to an Israeli:.. kibbutz on the west
side of the Jordan River. Kahane, in speaking of the plight
of the Soviet Jew, "shich the JDL'has actively made protest".
called for a mass demonstration of Jews to meet May. 22 in
Washington to raise questions about Soviet Jews to President
Nixon, who is scheduled to leave for a visit to Moscow on
May 22.
