Washington, Dc 20si0* Specimen received October 23, 1985, from sAc, Miami, under cover of communication dated October 22, l985 (51023029 D sQ): K2 Ensign Royal typewriter #5o02264 Specimen received October 23, l985, from sAc, Miami, under cover. of communication dated October 21, 1985 (5l023028 D sQ VF): Democrat- Illinois The "house* Washington, D. c. 205i5". Result of examination:. It was determined that the specimen K2 typewriter which was used to prepare specimen Kl was also used to prepare questioned typewritten impressions on specimens Q1 through Q8, Q12 and Ql3 in this case and the typewritten impressions on specimens Ql through Q4 in the case whose title includes "COMMITTEE OF vIGILANcE" and various Congressman. The *COMMITTEE OF VIGILANCE* case has Bureau File #9-67866. An examination of the original copy of the photocopy specimen Qcll would probably indicate that the typewritten impressions on this specimen were prepared using the specimen K2 typewriter. The specimen k2 typewriter was not used in the. preparation of specimens Qc9 and Qcl0. Specimens Q8, Q12 and Ql3 appear to be ordinary United States Postal Service postcards.
