This letter is with further reference to the livestock mutilations that have been plaguiny northern Hew Mexico and southern Colorado ranchers in recent nonths. Enclosed is a Ietter fron Chief Martin E. Vigil, Dircctor of the New Mexico State Police, written in response to ny inguiry on your behalf. Enclosed also are copies of all the mutilation reports pre pared by Officcr Gabe Valdez.. Officer Valdez has assuredcne that his investigation is continuiny, but so far has developed no positive leads as to the identity of the nutilator$s).
