The target of the surveillance was the International Socialist Organization (Iso), which was hosting the Texas Socialist Conference in Parlin Hall on the University of Texas campus.. TFOs stationed themselves on the north side of the. Parlin Hall. while TFO was on the west, and TFo and Agent were on the east. According to the local Iso website, registration for the conference started at 9:30 am, the conference itself started at 10:00 am, and participants were to take a break at 12:00 pm to attend an anti-Klan protest at Austin City Hall. When they left the building at 12:0o pm, one member (later identified as was seen picking up rocks and. stuffing them in his pockets before riding off on his bicycle.. TFO reported this to the Austin Police Department, and gave. a description of the subject. observed several members get. into a Subaru station wagon. Texas License Plate b6 registered to b7C b7E and writer proceeded downtown. while. A guard was left behind by the Iso to protect the brochures and other materials left behind until the rest of them returned. and writer continued surveillance from b6 b7C b7E Hoined the other. Task Force members at this point to continue surveillance.
