This infornant also provided correspondence from ELIzABEth"GERstLey of 7l7 North Crescent Drive, Beverly Hills, California under date of -July 5, l945, which is being for- warded to the Los Angeles Field Division as. an enclosure. In connection with the GEssrleys, Confidential Infornant T-2 learncd from BRaNsTeN that he and Rurk lickeney had received a conmunica- tion fron JAlEsgeRsrrer, July 20, .l945, whomlt was stated was a relative of 3RAusteh. The latter advised that at that tine GeRsTley was residing. at the Statler Hotel, Washington, D. C. and GeRstlEy had indicated a de- sire to visit the BRaNstsy's residence on July 22, 1945 as he intonded to bo in New York over that weekend returning to Washington, D.
