BRANsreN took the floor briefly and began by stating that he

Party as I am now." He openly denouncod all menbers in thc National
Committee in the CpA and deplored the oxisting attitudes towards wonen's
role in the organization. He stated that he believed'their efforts wore
not appreciated. Among the mombers of the National Committee whom he denoun cd
in particular was V. J JEROME and he cnphasized RBER INOR in a scath-
ing denunciation. ' He favored FosteR over BRowteR, however, not wholly
approving of FOsTER. He stated that he,himself, BrAMSter) had asked
quarters that he hod nearly bcen expelled fron thc CPA. He clearly in-
stated the Leninists had becone to soft and bourgeoisie, and he stated that
his worry over Party affairs had caused hin to suffer fron stonach ulcors.
His remarks were not readily accepted by HaR-IS and ONDA and HARRIS again
took the floor and stated, tBrANsren should not take the attitude of the
defeatist." The informant stated that HARRIs whitowashed over BRAuSteN's
deneanors of the monbers of the National Conmittee.
BRANsteN and those present unanimously accepted the resolution
of the committee of June 2, 1945, as amended. At the conclusion of the
neoting, considerable discussion among the rank and file.concerning
BRAnsren's stand and remarks ensued, and although a nunber agreed with
hin, all considered hin tooenotional which they attributed to his al-
