The letter had been received in the regular. U.S.. mail delivered to the'uiami Herald"and ras opened. there in the normal course of businoss. The letter arrived in a handprinted cnvelope. which was addressed to the editor, Editorial Division, Miami Herald, Miami, Florida, and bore tha return address. of R. P. O., I24 Wayne, Daytona Eeach, Florida. The envelope bore a 6d postal stamp and had been postmarked August 23, l97o, p.m. at Daytona Eoach, Tlorida. The letter received in the envelopo was n three-page hand-- written communication, the iirst page of which is en-- titled "Assination Scoop" and ends "...(6) Cessation of." The second page is headed,nPage numbor 2" and enda "...in the middle." The third page is headed upage numbor three" and ends. "...The Society for the Constitution and a Patriotic America." It was noted that the lettor seemed to ba in the format of a newopaper article reporting eyents which wore to take place in. the future.
