Senator Edward M. Kennedy
On June 9, l969, during the early morning,
Sergeant
Cass County, Michigan Sheriff's.
Office, telephonically advised the Detroit Office of the
FBI that he had received a telephone call at the Cass County

Sheriff's Office from a person identified as

who stated that the Mafia had sent someone to assassinate
Senator Kennedy. The caller advised Sergeant
that the
assassination would take place about two and one-half hours
from the time of the telephone call.

again called the Detroit Office.

Cass County Sheriff's Office had traced the call mentioned
above and as a result had taken into custody

was not held, no record of her arrest was noted and no
description was taken. Sergeant
was not available
for contact inasmuch as he was off duty.
