On December 29, 1965, a teach-in was held at
Mc Millin Auditorium at Columbia University, ll6th Street
and Broadway, New York City.
This teach-in was sponsored by the Students Non-
Violent Coordinating Committee (sncc), Students for.
Democratic Society (sDsJrCommittee ofStudents_for Peace
in Viet..Nam (spy), and theVIrdependent Committee for Viet.
Nam of Columbia University (icv~of-cu)..
A confidential source, who has furnished reliable
information in the past, advised on December 29, 1965, that
the teach-in began at 2:30 PM on December 29, 1965, and.
terminated at 6:45 PM. There were approximately 500
people in the audience and almost all of this audience
was composed of high school students. The following
individuals spoke to the audience and were critical of
United States policy in Viet Nam:.
