June 17, 1971- GEIERAL INVESTIGATIVE DIVISION This concerns the occupation of a U. S. Nike missile site at Richmond, California, by a group of Indians who had peeently been. evicted from Alcatraz Island by U. S. Marshals on 6/11/71. The Indians entered and occupied the site on 6/14/71. Attached reports the removal of the. Indians from the mi$sile site by the Richmond, California, and neighboring Bolice Departments. Sixteen persons were detained and one arrested for trespassing and resisting arrest. The. U. S. Army has now posted sentrjesand properly secured the site. CBjr:amm
