interviewed telephonically on April 1, 2004 while at
place of
employment at the United States Army Medical Institute of.
Infectious Diseases (UsAmRIID). After being advised of the.
identity of the agent and the purpose of the interview,
provided the following information:
stated that the seven (7) milliliters (ml) of
material that remained at the end of an aerosol exposure would be
poured back into the fifty (50) ml conical provided by the
investigator.
confirmed that at the end of each day,
when thirty (30) animals were exposed, 210 ml of material, or 105
ml per hood, would be left over.
stated that the
nebulizers would not be cleaned between aerosol runs. Normally at
the end of the day the nebulizers would be autoclaved in
Occasionally there would not be enough time to autoclave the
nebulizer and they would just be decontaminated and cleaned with a
bleach solution and then with a water solution.
There were three custom nebulizers in Building.
