Alhazmi and Khalid Almidhdir, two hijackers that were on American Airlines flight 77 that crashed into the Pentagon. In an interview on 09/17/01 Aulagi was shown a picture of the flight 77 hijackers and thereupon stated that he knew Nawaf Alhazmi from the Al-Ribat mosque in San Diego. Aulagi considered Alhazmi to be a loner who did not have a large circle of friends. Alhazmi was slow to enter into personal relationships and was always very soft spoken, a very calm and extremely nice person.. Aulaqi did not see Alhazmi as a very. religious person, based on the fact that Alhazmi never wore a beard. and neglected to attend all five daily prayer sessions.
