Incident: 189 Wnile acting as copilot om a C-l7 aircraft emroute from Rglin maxiliary Pield #2 to Tarner AP Base at approximately 1530 hours #37 22 Sept 48, Lt Martin @, Rubisch observed an object eppreaching at en angle of about 25°. The O-47 at the time wc approaching Parner Field from the Southwest st an altitude of about 2,000 ft. The object appeared to be about 500 feet lower ani about 2,000 to 1500 feet away and traveling at am estimated speed of 250 MPE, Lt Rubiech stuted that the object aypeured about tie size of a radio controlled model airplane (5 to 10 ft). He could not deternine the auape but seid be could not observe wings or rudier, He could give no other descrintion other tham it was 2 metallic shiny object, fo one else aboard the Gli] observed the object.
