Pe Walkers, Provost Marshal, U. S. Atr Force Base, Mildenhall, England, telephonically contacted tie writer on February 14, 1953, regarding the new or revived interest in "flytng saucers.” He stated he did not have any new information to report but he knew of an tneédent that took place several years ago which this Bureau might desire to check. This incident, aceording to Major Walkers, concerns an article or story on "flying saucers” which appeared in a small newspaper with limited ctreulatton located at Jeffersonville, Delaware Township, Sullivan County, New York. He was unable to recall the name of the newspaper but was certain tt is the only one published in that area.
