According to HUTSON, KNOWLES also wrote a letter to the President of the United States. HUISON stated that none of the persons involved in this matter were interested in publicity. He stated that he would be willing to assist the Bureau in the investigation of this matter if the Bureau desired, inasmuch as he believed Mrs. SWAN and Admiral KNOWLES had confidence in him, HUISON described Mrs. FRANCES SWAN as being of middle-class cir- cumstances, having a very modest hame with furniture below middle-class. He stated that she has no more than a high school education, if she has that.
