On March 25, 1957, LEONARD Hf STRINGFIELD appeared at
the Cincinnati Office for the purpose of calling attention to a
letter dated March 19 7, which he had received from EV# HICH,
M.D. (Mrs. WILLIAM MOISE, Route 1, P.O, Box 721, Alexandria,
Virginia, telephone South 5-7081). int ne z"
For the information of the Bureau and the Norfolk Office,
Mr. STRINGFIELD is presently the Advertising Manager for Dubois if
Company, Inc., 1120 W. Front Street, Cincinnati, Ohio. According
to STRINGFIELD, he has been interested in flying discs or objects
for a number of years and has cooperated with the United States
Air Force to the extent of furnishing the Air Force with any
information on flying objects coming to his attention. Mr. STRING-
FIELD was also the publisher of a paper called the "Orbit", which
carried the following heading: "The official publication of Y 7
Civilian Research, Interplanetary Flying Objects". The "Orbit"—<« 2
was a monthly publication which carried information and intellige ay
research by STRINGFIELD on flying objects. According to STRINGFIELDS
the "Orbit" had a limited circulation,
In connection with Dr. REICH's letter, STRINGFIELD
stated that prior to the receipt of the letter he received a long i
distance telephone call from Dr. REICH on March 12, 1957. This oe
call was received by him in the early morning prior to his departure!
for work. He related that Dr. REICH was a subscriber to the "Orbit"
and that during the phone conversationshe made reference to some
of his reports which he had published in the "Orbit" and for the
most part spoke on matters that were "over his head" and things
that he did not understand. According to STRINGFIELD, she concluded
the conversation by, stating she would write him a letter, which BG
