Specimens Q15 and Q15A consist of the head portions of two shotshell casings, both of Remington-Peters manufacture. Specimen Q15 is of 12-gauge and Q15A is of 20-qauge. Specimen Q15 contains some very limited microscopic marks of possible value for comparison purposes. Specimen Q15A does not contain any microscopic marks of value for comparison purposes. Both Q15 and QL5A are badly corroded with their original paper body's disintregrated. Also, the headstamps in Q15 and Q15A have not been used by Remington for at least 20 years. If the 915 shotshells were subjected exclusively to natural environments, the metallurgical characteristics exhibited are indicative of relatively lengthy exposure to such environments.
