The body of Michael McIntosh was discovered on 4/20/81 in the Chattahochee River in Atlanta.| McIntosh, a 23 year old black male, had not been reported missing, but due to the circum- stances surrounding his death and discovery of his body, he was added to the list of missing and murdered children. On 4/22/81, Roy Innis, a member and possible official of the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE), arrived in Atlanta with a "secret witness" who claimed to know the ATKID killer. Innis gave authorities 72 hours to apprehend bis suspect or threatened his group would apprehend the suspect.
