By attached teletype, Atlanta advises that
the body of Joseph Bell was discovered on
4/19/81 in the South River in DeKalb County.
The body of Michael McIntosh was discovered
on 4/20/81 in the Chattahochee River in Atlanta.|
McIntosh, a 23 year old black male, had not
been reported missing, but due to the circum-
stances surrounding his death and discovery of
his body, he was added to the list of missing
and murdered children.
On 4/22/81, Roy Innis, a member and possible
official of the Congress of Racial Equality
(CORE), arrived in Atlanta with a "secret
witness" who claimed to know the ATKID killer.
Innis gave authorities 72 hours to apprehend
bis suspect or threatened his group would
apprehend the suspect.
On 4/27/81, Atlanta will institute
surveillances of 14 selected bridges which
could be possible dumping sites over the
Chattahochee River.
