GI Specimens received Evidence received by Mr. FY Latent Fingerprint Section: Qs8l Wallet Result of examination: Several cotton fibers and several synthetic fibers of various types and colors were removed from Q81 and mounted on glass microscope slides. These fibers are dissimilar to the Q29 through Q32 fibers previously furnished to the FBI Laboratory by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Laboratory under cover of their letter dated March 23, 1981, and listed in the FBI Laboratory report in this case dated April 17, 1981. The sources of these fibers from Q81 are unknown to the Laboratory. A short hair of Negroid origin was also removed from Q8l. This hair is of no value for body area determination or association with a particular person, You will receive a separate report concerning the results of the fingerprint examinations and the disposition of 981. \ The glass microscope slides containing fibers removed from Q81 will be temporarily retained by the FBI Laboratory for possible future comparison purposes.
