Prior to interview WR «as advised of the nature of the intended interview relative to the attempt to identify carpeting sample obtained from the residence of Wayne Bertram Williams, suspect in murders in Atlanta, Georgia, in an effort to identify or eliminate Magee Carpet Company as the manufacturer of Williams' carpet. WR furnished the following information: e company presently, L9E Since June 1976, manufactures only auto fabrication and automobile carpeting. Prior to that date, Magee Carpet Company manufactured residential and commercial carpeting for approximately $0 years. stated that Magee Carpet Company, in June 1976, sold lagee Carpet name and rights to manufacture residential and commercial carpeting to Shaw Industries, Dalton, Georgia. In addition to the carpeting manufacturing plant located in Bloomsburg, PA, Magee Carpet Company operated a plant in Perry County from 1966 to closing in 1976. was shown sample carpeting obtained from the residence of Wayne Bertram Williams, at which time he advised that he does not recall Magee Carpet Company éVer manufacturing any residential or commercial carpeting identical to sample specifications.
