X92 Pibers from carpet (#18)
Result of examination:
The ¢3C and 731 fsbers Cliscueses ir this report were
originally listed in the Fzel Laboratory report in this case
dated April 17, 1981.
The Q30 fiber exhibits the same microscopic
characteristics and same optical properties as present in
the violet acetate fibers in the K91 sample and, accordingly,
could have originated from the sare source as K91.
The Q31 fiber exhibits the same ricroscopie
characteristics and same optical properties as present in the
greenish yellow nylon fibers in the K92 sample and, accordingly,
could have ord
ginated from the same source as X92.
Additional comparisons of the fibers in the K91
and K92 sarples with other iters of evidence in the ATKID
investigation will be the subject of a separate report.
Specimens K91 and K92 will be returned to the
Atlanta Office under separate cover by registered mail.
