Ho mroly wanted to be certcin that no porsons who belongod to the Gorman military eliquo or the Nasi Party were able to gcin any powcr in the Gurman Govcrnmont efter the war and whother the democratic governacnts or Russic dominite postwar Germany mde no difference to him os long as the persons who bolenged to the above mentioned groups gained no power. Source @MB also reported that BRSCHT remarked to him tht he, BRECAT, intondod to return to Gormeny after the wor, and Sourec QM ct that time asked him if he was desirous of returning to Germany boccuse he thought thet ho could obtain a position in the postwar German government. BRECHT's reply to this was, according to Source , that he had no desire to obtain any governmental position in Germany efter the war; all he wanted to do vas to return to his work in Germuny. Source @@ remarked that in his opinion BRYCHT wos probaoly stating the truth becouse he does not think that BRUCHT has any political aspirations, Source @R descridod BRECHT os an artist and writer ond definitely not © politician.
