Reference is finally made to the Bureau's teletype dated April 26, 1945, referring to the letter of April 21 and granting approval to rent the spece requested. . . In order that the Los Angeles Office may cleerly understend the Bureau's instructions, it is requested that this office be advised whether or not the teletype dated April 21 was meant to grant authority to eatebdlish the microphone surveillance requested in the referenced letter dated April 5, 1945. ‘ my event, however, it is again requested that authority to such @ surveillance be granted as scon as is possible.
