He being an - |S it was decided to interview him pricr to his proposed departure regard- ing his Ccewunist activity and contacts with kmowm Soviet agents in this country authorisation was given to the Los Angeles and New York Offices to this interview, but the interview was held in abeyance mtil after his testimony before the Un~imerican Activities Committee. : RECQMENTATION that the subject be interviewed at this time by the Los Angeles or New York Office in view of his proposed trip te Europe.
