AT 97-106 2 Carter stated in reference to accusations which have appeared in the press, that he is anti-Semitic, that at the time of the meeting, he knew very little about Libya and its problems. However, he has for several years prior to his contact with the Libyans, felt that the Zionist have been able to dominate the news media and in fact he does regard himself as an anti-Zionist. He stated, however, that he foes not mean to say he is anti-Jewish.
