were beina forwarded to the Bureav by the Los Anceles Szaminer

With the aid of this print we identified a national defense
print that was submitted by the “ervices of »upply from Camp Cooke, ~~
California. ‘the cirl's nane was aiven as slizabeth Short. She was an oh
applicant for position of clerk at the Post #zchanae. The prints were
taken on January 30, 1943. Date and-place of birth are the same as indicaz
above; heicht 5' 6"; weiant 121 1bs.3 hair brown; eyes preen; build, =

At approximately 1:30 p.m. a Loranig Francis, local corres-
pondent for the Los Angeles Times, called Quinn Tamm and was referred to
