called people's war, and what's involved in it. It's hard to
convey it except in a sense of understanding that it's the total
organization and mobilization of ald the people in Vietnam in
most total and heroic kinds of resistance on all different levels,

and units down to fir.7.:°\ ways for even children to participate
in the struggle. Non-violent demonstrations. Women in a village
when a tank will come into a vil Leye, 50 to 100 women without arms
will swarm ont- °'~* tanks and sit uom in front of them and try to
bring them toa stop.
You know, political striggle is on many different levels.
They'll crganize woren hese husbands or sons cr brothers who have
been killed within puppet c1rmy fo organize demonstrations in the
eities. Well Jet me gilve you one example to jive you an idea cf
the wide ranging kinds of things that. are invelved in fighting
a people's war. (unintelligible) people's war,
according to JOCK, NUVLEN J (phonetic), the North Vietnamese
military thecrist, is tought from four differe't fronts, a political
front, military, economic, and cultural, One of the most fascinating
aspects of Vietnam.

the above speech. Most of the questions were unintelligible. The

Question: (Unintelligible)
Answer: Yeah, we went inte, we had a lot of discussion about
that. The nature cf the Urited Front and what kind of information
were within it. Maybe I whould go into that. The Vietnam struggle
is not a struggle for a Socialist revolution. What Vietnamese are
fighing at this stage is what's called a national democratic
revolution. The kind of situation that exists in Vietnam, we have
a colony that's predominantly feudalist, feudal internally, and
externally imperialist and colonialist, where most of the people,
90 per cent of the people, are peasants. That it’s impossible to
make a Socialist revolution. But what has to happen is this first
stage of the National Democratic Revolution. So that means in
terms of the way the struggle has been organized is that
{unintelligible) United Front of all social strata in all classes
