i Both MACK and MALLOY talked about the efforts of the BPP to
: . assist all black political prisoners. :
On 7/30/72, the BPP sponsored a community survival
rally in the parking lot of the Kimberly Housing Project, a
predominantly black public housing project in Winston-Salem,
North Carolina. HAZEL MAE MACK, BPP Communications Secretary,
acted as master of ceremonies for this affair. LARRY LITTLE,
head of the BPP Chapter, and Mrs. LEE FAYE MACK spoke to an
assembled group of approximately 2,000 people. Both LITTLE and
MACK stressed that the BPP was now a political organization
and LITTLE announced that he planned to run for political
office.

During July, 1972, no information was received other
than that the Winston-Salem, North Carolina group continues
to follow HUEY P. NEWTON.
PART II
The following is a summary of BPP activities in
the Charlotte Division:
Under the renewed leadership of LARRY LITTLE and
with the apparent knowledge LITTLE gained during his six month
stay in BPP Headquarters in Oakland, California, the Winston-
Salem, North Carolina BPP Chapter increased its efforts to
promote various so-calk d community survival programs.
The free clothing program, under the direction of
MARY MC DONALD, was successful in obtaining a large number
of children's tennis shoes which were given away on 7/30/72
in conjunction with the BPP community survival rally.
