Werking at Duke University, I talked to many students and I learned mich in working at the university about when they ge! their training and their education from Duke, when you g% cut in the public seqment what will your subjects mean? Wiat are yo aoing to de to help the people of the state? Now, right jn yeu. classroom and around town are clean white school and classremms., I hear those professors tesch these students that you shovld he proud that you ere a student at Duke University. And this biggest university tells them what they can do with themselves and their families. Not only does thie exist at Duke University, an 27]1 white institution, but the same thing occurred in the power structure in all black institutions. Now, this te me is come to the point that if we rely on these people that have taught this Wind of philosophy, we're still going to degraded and we're still bein (unintelligible) by the system, , a I think that the last two years that the students have taken an active part integrating black and white, you are criticized because what your views are, Selt-experience’ has been a tremendous help in the past at Duke University. (Next few words unintelligible.) is if it had not been for the students who_signed a petiticn, over 2,000 people, we 400 people could start out with 2,2:0 people, (rest unintelligible).
