During April, the Winston-Salem group were lifted
from status of a National Committee to Combat Fascism to a
Black Panther Chapter and no information has been received
other than the group is entirely loyal to the HUEY P. NEWTON
faction of the BPP,
PART II
-. The following is a summary of BPP activities in
the Charlotte Division:
Aiken, S, C., and Augusta, Ga., in connection with the
upcoming trial of JAMES RAYMOND FORD, JR.
There 1s very little "on the street activity" such
as selling newspapers, etc. observed and the group's main
interest appears to be in their upcoming trials.

. The group in Winston-Salem was elevated to the
status of a BPP chapter and continues to function, selling
the BPP newspaper. Their main concern during April was
with the trials of LARRY DONNELL LITTLE on contempt of court
and carrying a concealed weapon charges which case has been
remanded to federal court and continued, Other individuals
such as JULIUS WHITE CORNELL, JR., GRADY FULLER, and NELSON
LEE MALLOY, JR. were scheduled to come to trial; however,
due to crowded docket, cases were not tried. CORNELL, GARY
DARNELL LILLEY, and DELORIS WRIGHT were reported to be in
