Domestic Intelligence Division INFORMATIVE NOTE Attached pertains to assault upon i police officers of High Point, North Carolina, Police Department by Blac Panther Party (BPP) members 2-10-71. A police officer was critically wounded in gunfire from BPP. Special Agent of Charlotte Office was present at High Point Police Department at time to insure information of interest in Bureau's investigation of BPP was obtaine He was requested by police department to take major case prints of the Panthers arrested in connection with the shooting. Special Agent took prints and has been subpoenaed to appear in local court at High Point 5-10-71 to testify he finger- .|printed subjects and observed them signi '|fingerprint cards. Testimony necessary in chain of evidence to show identity of individuals. Special Agent in Charge, Charlotte, recommends Special Agent testify and U.S, Attorney has no objec Domestic Intelligence Division concurs with recommendation of SAC.
