FACTIONALISM During August, 1971, no information was received other than that a Winston-Salem, N. C., group continues to follow HUEY P. NEWTON. A Detroit source had advised that the BPP Cleaver Faction underground has moved to an undiscovered North Carolina location. Contacts with extremist sources have not substantiated this allegation. PART IL The following is a summary of BPP activities in the Charlotte Division: The Free Breakfast for Children Program which began on 9/6/71, at BPP Headquarters, 1333 North Patterson Avenue, continues to feed approximately eight (8) to ten (10) children each day.
