Room — Oo Mr. Kinley — SUBJECT BLACK PANTHER PARTY (BPP) Mr. Armatrong- Mrs. Neenan CHARLOTTE DIVISION EXTREMIST MATTERS By teletype dated November 17, 1972, to which an informative note was attached, the Charlotte Division advised of the fact that the Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Chapter This Chapter has a history of violence and confrontation with police. The leaders are currently awaiting trial on local charges and have indicated that violence will occur prior to the local trial scheduled for December 4, 1972. Local ‘author- ities have been advised of these threats. Additional information has been developed by: our } informants indicating that leaders of this BPP Chapter have surveilled our Agents for the purpose of determining their activities and recently visited the Federal Building for the purpose of pinpointing our office and a Federal Courtroom.
