A lot of you think I'm from Wilmington because of what happened down there. But I've been all over North Carolina and Virginia helping our black people struggling against the systems. You see, this is what we're about. I work for the Committee for Racial Justice out of Raleigh. “I'm glad to be here in Wilmington today for the Inter:ommunal Pay for Bobby Seale, to set Bobby Seale free, to set Sister Fricka and Sister Angela. And because in my mind when that brother and those sisters are locked up and all other political prisoners, that retards our movement. And we got to set those brothers and those sisters free. Chairman Bobby has got to be <et free. He's got to be set free. And the masses of bla:k people, we got to set them free. “Now, brother could you hold this fer me, I would like to discuss some things. Since I have been ull over North Carclina, I’m geing to take this opportunity because the pig press doesn't always print the truth. I'm going to go over a few things that have been going down in North Carolina in general and 1'J1 culminate with Wilmington. Right on, “You know, I think we ought to completely find out just. where black people ace today in North Carolina. And you know, to unser that question, I think it's fair for us to look at the schoci. erisis in North Carolina. You know, black people, young black bicthers and sisters have taken it upon themselves to Launch a war against the racism in the schools here in North Cargtina- And I want to run that down toyou. you know, over five years ago, some very tcgether brothers and sisters out in California began to say what we want is an education that expeses the true nature of this decadent American society. We want an education that teaches us our trye history and our true role in this present day seciety. And that was the Black Panther Party's Fifth point 12
